Body Contouring

Cryolipolysis

Controlled cooling applied to a targeted area to reduce localised fat cells over time.

What is it?

Cryolipolysis applies controlled cooling to a specific area to target fat cells beneath the skin, which the body then clears gradually. It is not a weight-loss treatment and is intended for defined, localised areas.

What it is designed to address

  • Localised pockets of fat in specific areas

What happens at your appointment

Your appointment begins with a face-to-face consultation with your prescriber. She will take a full medical history, discuss what you are hoping to achieve, examine the area, and explain what is and is not realistic. If treatment is clinically appropriate and you wish to go ahead, you will give written consent and the treatment is carried out in the same visit.

Results

Any change develops gradually over a period of weeks to months, and varies considerably between individuals. This is not a treatment for weight loss.

Aftercare

You will be given a written aftercare plan before you leave, specific to the treatment you have had. As a general principle, avoid heat, strenuous exercise, alcohol and make-up on the treated area for the period your clinician specifies, protect the area from the sun, and contact the clinic if anything concerns you.

Frequently asked questions

No. It targets small, defined areas of localised fat and is not a weight-loss treatment. Your clinician will tell you if it is not appropriate for what you are hoping to achieve.
